Testimonials
Joanne has been an amazing find!
I’ve been in the fortunate position that most of my work has come from reputation and referrals. However, earlier in the year I needed to respond to an RFP which was a new experience. Having worked as a consultant for many years (before creating my own company), I’ve regularly provided technical inputs to bids but I’ve never dealt with one end-to-end.
Jo was introduced to me at just the right time and has been amazing. Sitting together (virtually) and working though the RFP and my skill set she helped me validate that I could apply and then based on capacity guided me through the bid/no-bid process. I’ve taken a lead on the content, and Jo has worked absolute magic to reorganise my responses, make it more meaningful and guide me towards a submission that I can be proud of.
I never thought this was a process that I would go through, but it was completed ahead of schedule with Jo giving me positive little prompts to get involved.
As a working relationship you could not ask for better. Easy to get on with. Quickly learning my technology and skills and then helping me appear the best I can appear.
I would have no hesitation in requesting Jo to support me again and not hesitation in recommending her to someone with similar needs.
Thanks Jo. Go well and keep working your magic.

I can’t recommend Jo Toon highly enough for her invaluable assistance with our recent government RFP. Jo is not only personable and professional, but her wealth of experience shines through in every interaction. Her insight into structuring proposals and communicating clearly proved instrumental in navigating the complexities of the process. Thanks to Jo’s guidance, we were able to present a compelling and concise submission. Working with Jo was truly a pleasure, and I’m grateful for her expertise.

Getting that proposal “pitch perfect” is tricky, especially in such a competitive environment. We want to showcase all the great skills and experience we have, and want to show we understand what the client needs from us while being succinct and . We want to be creative and innovative while adhering to very prescribed procurement methods.
Recently we were fortunate to have Jo Toon meet with the team at KPMG to share her wealth of experience in procurement expertise. Jo provided super practical, real world tips and tricks to help us sharpen our message, how to ask good questions and most importantly how to avoid jargon!
I would recommend anyone navigating government procurement to talk with Jo, it will make a huge difference to your proposal game.

As a New Zealand-owned SME, our core skill set focused on business analysis, and without a dedicated bid team, responding to RFPs represents a significant time and cost investment for Redvespa. In order to ensure we are maximising our return on that, we asked Jo to review and provide feedback on some of our past RFP responses to help us fine tune our approach. Her many years experience on the procurement side of the table coupled with her commercial nous meant she was able to provide robust, valuable, and actionable insights. We’re now able to make improvements in both our responses and the process we undertake to decide if we even respond in the first place.
